Col Kyle Cerfoglio
Director, Nevada Guard Joint Staff

Col. Kyle Cerfoglio serves as the director of joint staff, Nevada Guard. As director, Cerfoglio manages the Nevada Guard’s joint, or dual Army and Air, operations, throughout the state. He oversees joint staff operations supporting more than 4,400 soldiers and airmen serving in the Nevada Guard. He is also responsible for coordinating Nevada Guard support to civil authorities during domestic response operations. Cerfoglio is the senior, federal full-time Nevada Guard management official and serves as principal executive assistant and advisor to the adjutant general. 

Cerfoglio enlisted in 1992, working across the supply career field, culminating his enlisted career as staff sergeant. After graduating from the Academy of Military Science in Knoxville, Tenn. in 1999, he was assigned as a traditional Guardsman, Supply Operations Officer, in the 152nd Logistics Readiness Squadron, while maintaining a full-time civilian career as an educator. In 2010, he deployed as the Operations Officer for the Air Force’s sole Combat Convoy Squadron in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
