Sgt. Maj. Edward Franco

Sgt. Maj. Edward C. Franco was born in Olongapo, Philippines and moved to Rhode Island when he was 7 years old. He enlisted in the Nevada Army National Guard in January 1998. He attended Basic Combat Training and Advance Individual Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, where he was awarded the MOS 63B, Light Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic. In 2003, he mobilized with the 321st Signal Company to Kuwait in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM. He then served as Team Chief and Platoon Sergeant and deployed to Afghanistan in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM in 2011.
He was selected and assigned as the 17th Sustainment Brigade Command Sergeant Major from 2020-2023.
