Brig. Gen. David Chauvin
Assistant Adjutant General-Air
Brigadier General David R. Chauvin serves as the Assistant Adjutant General - Air. He is the Commander of the Nevada Air National Guard (NVANG), commanding over 1,200 NVANG Airmen supporting domestic and global priorities.
Brig Gen Chauvin is responsible for setting the strategic vision of the NVANG to meet the call of our current and future adversaries in alignment with the National Defense Strategy (NDS). He ensures the development and coordination of all programs, policies, and plans, as well as the readiness and care of the airmen of the NVANG.
He received a reserve commission in May 1998 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps and entered active duty in July 1998 at Barksdale AFB, LA. He is a Command Pilot with over 4,860 hours of flight time, with deployments in support of Operations Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, and New Dawn.
