Chief Master Sergeant Torry R. Thompson
Nevada State Command Chief

Chief Master Sergeant Torry Thompson is the State Command Chief, Nevada National Guard, Carson City, Nev. Thompson brings two decades of experience as a senior non-commissioned officer in the Nevada Air National Guard, most recently serving as the Active Guard Reserve (AGR) Manager-Air, Joint Force Headquarters J1, Nevada National Guard. 

Thompson was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on Sept. 10, 1975, graduated from Robert M. McQueen High School in Reno, Nevada in 1993, and joined the Nevada Air National Guard in 1994. 

In addition to serving multiple joint positions throughout his career, Thompson served as the senior enlisted leader of the 152nd Force Support Squadron prior to coming to the J1 in 2021. He also deployed during Operation Enduring Freedom to Al Udeid.
