Chief Master Sergeant Torry R. Thompson

 
Chief Master Sergeant Torry R. Thompson is the State Command Chief, Nevada National Guard, Carson City, Nev. He serves as The Assistant Adjutant General’s principal military advisor on all enlisted matters affecting training, readiness, health of the force, and professional development for all enlisted members of the Nevada Air National Guard. He previously served as the Active Guard Reserve Manager-Air for the Nevada National Guard, Joint Force Headquarters, Carson City, Nevada.  He was responsible for developing, managing, and oversight of AGR program and policies within the state to include new hire orientation/briefing. 
Chief Thompson was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on September 10, 1975, graduated from Robert M. McQueen High School in Reno, Nevada in 1993, and joined the Nevada Air National Guard in January of 1994; he attended Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.  After completion of Information Management technical school in 1994, Chief Thompson returned to Reno, Nevada to begin his Air National Guard commitment with the 152 Reconnaissance Group Command Post as an Information Manager.  In February of 1998 he transferred to the 152 Logistics Readiness Squadron orderly room, the following year, in January of 1999, Sergeant Thompson accepted a full time position with the 152 Mission Support Group as the Orderly Room NCOIC.  In September of 2006 he was selected as the First Sergeant of the 152 Mission Support Group, which instantly became one of the highlights of his career.  He then transferred in June of 2007 to Headquarters Nevada Air National Guard to become the NCOIC of Military Personnel Management Office. Chief Thompson’s last assignment was the Senior Enlisted Leader for the 152d Force Support Squadron.
