Our Mission
Our mission is to assist Nevada Guard Members, their families, and our communities in preparing for and coping with the demands of military life through education, involvement, communication, and support.
Our Vision & Goals
Provide family members information about programs, benefits, and entitlements; coordinate with appropriate resources in the community for soldiers, veterans, and their family members; and refer veterans, service members, and families to the appropriate resources as needed.
Our Purpose
Promote self-reliance and resiliency in Soldier, their families, and volunteers by preparing, assisting, and supporting their service member for the obligations of local, state, and federal military service; train and recognize volunteers capable to support unit and state-level family readiness. Soldier and Family Readiness Specialist also support financial literacy requirements and career readiness standards by providing targeted financial education, as identified by statute. Soldier and Family Readiness Specialist network and build relationships with community partners to aid in providing resources for service members. Some examples of what Soldier and Family Readiness can help with is help finding childcare or means to pay for childcare, help attaining food, help finding a means to pay rent or mortgage, help finding grants for different situations, resume help.

Soldier and Family Readiness Specialists/ Family Programs can aid military members, military families, military retirees, no matter active duty, National Guard, Air Guard, Reserve, Veterans, deployed or at home. Soldier and Family Readiness provides efficient and effective services and resources to Soldiers and their families to support unit and personal readiness and retention with resource priority on focused readiness and mobilizing/ deployed units.
